Six Word Saturday

A FUN SATURDAY BEING AT HOME

It isn't often that we find ourselves with absolutely no plans, nothing to do on a Saturday. Today is one of those rare days and I have to say we have enjoyed it...a lot! David had to work so it was just me and the kids hanging out at the house. I decided to get a little crafty. I covered the light switch plates in the kids rooms. This is the one I made for the girls room:
This is the one I made for Wyatt's room:
I thought they were pretty cute & added some colorful patterns to their solid walls. I noticed however, during my craft time, that the kids were awfully quite. As a Mom, the sound of silence can be scary so I went to investigate. I found these two rugrats piled up in our bed reading their Bibles to each other. Wyatt was a little confused on the names as he was telling the story of Noah & the Ark to Sidney but kept calling him "Noses"...I think he was blending Noah & Moses. It was funny to listen to and I didn't have the heart to correct him.
And I meant to post this awhile back but I just got a camera recently. My Mom cross-stitched this for me & David to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. Is it not amazing??? It has the 4 kids names at the top and then the two lovebirds with a sweet saying. Then our names and the day of our wedding - the day of our 10 year anniversary. I can't imagine the hours of work it took her to make this because I cross-stitch myself and I know I would not have the patience to do something this detailed. She is amazing. She even had it matted and framed for us and we can't wait to find it a permanent spot in the house. We will treasure it for years to come!

My daughter read one of her Children's Bibles front to back last year, she loved being able to tell people she'd read the whole Bible. I have yet to explain that technically it was a children's Bible and skipped a bit of the details, lol. She knows her stuff now though! It's pretty cool :)

Hey Gretta! I see you've been busy...I've been slow to blog and read lately. I'm excited to see you signed up for Kathi Lipp's 1000 dates challenge! It'll be F-U-N!
