MasterBooks, a division of New Leaf Publishing Group, has released two new educational resources entitled: World of Science and World of Animals. These books will give you and your children incredible knowledge of both science and animals while never having to worry about evolution theories popping up in the text. These titles do not compromise God's Word and in fact, they stand firm on the truth of creation. These would make great supplemental material in homeschooling, are a wonderful reference book and children from elementary to high school students can use them and enjoy them.
WORLD OF SCIENCE BOOK: This 248 page full-color book features over 800 illustrations and photographs. It highlights Science facts, discoveries and those who have been at the forefront of innovation. It also contains over 60 activities and experiments to show your children how Science can be applied to everyday life. It covers these Science topics in great depth: Matter & Chemicals, Energy, Motion & Machines, Electricity & Magnetism, Light & Sound, Earth and Life, Space & Time and more! It is a real-world, hands-on Science book that will inspire, inform and bring honor to the Lord!
What We Learned: This book made it easy to take sometimes confusing Science concepts and make them understandable for our children. Concepts like force and motion, how the earth is magnetic and light became understandable through the easy to comprehend text and beautiful illustrations and photographs. Our kids also discovered lots of fun facts such as: A rocket must reach a speed of 17,360 mph to enter space and orbit earth! They loved learning why an ant bite hurts/itches. It bites with its strong pincer-like jaws and then squirts a spray that contains formic acid into the wound to cause discomfort and pain.
WORLD OF ANIMALS BOOK: You will explore over 1,000 of God's most extraordinary creatures in this 256 full-color book. You will examine the diverse anatomy, behavior and habitats of all types of animals. It includes information about the smallest microscopic worms to the largest animals God ever created, the whales. Filled with fascinating facts and intriguing animal records this book will teach you and your child all about the amazing animals God created. What We Learned: Our children love to learn about animals and are fascinated by their behaviors, habitats and lives. We often found the kids sitting in the floor reading this book together. This book covers simple animals, worms/snails/starfish, insects & other anthropods, fish, amphibians and reptiles, birds and mammals. The kids learned interesting things about animals like: The giant clam, tridacna, lives in Pacific Ocean and its shell can be over 4 feet in length and it can weigh as much as 725 pounds! Our 6 year old loved the Giant Anteater information as that is currently his favorite animal. And want to know which animal our kids were most intrigued by so far? Look up "Gulper Eel" ~ The picture of it in this book was so fascinating to them we actually spent a whole afternoon looking up more about it online! MasterBooks wants to share this awesome book with one of my readers and they want to give one of you the World of Animals book to enjoy in your own home!

My kids LOVE science, and it is always nice to read science-related books that are from the Christian perspective.
I am looking forward to reading it all. We've been using a science encyclopedia that is filled with evolution that goes along with our science curriculum which is Christian. It drives me crazy. This looks perfect!
