I must be on a kick for "easy" recipes. A couple of weeks ago, I posted the Easiest BBQ Ever recipe and today I am going to share the easiest cake recipe. Let's face it....as much as I love to cook and bake, sometimes I just want to fix something simple and be done with dinner or dessert! So here is a super easy cake that you can literally "throw together" and enjoy without a lot of work and without using any dishes other than the cake pan and you don't even have to stir it! It's called "Dump Cake" and you literally dump it all together. Here's how......
Purchase these ingredients
Pour the pineapple (juice & all) in the bottom of the pan
Spoon the cherry pie filling over the pineapple
Sprinkle the DRY cake mix on top of the cherries
Spread pecan chips over the dry cake mix
Dot with squares of margarine
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour
This is what your "Dump Cake" will look like
Spoon it onto a plate & enjoy!
DUMP CAKE RECIPE
1 can crushed pineapple
1 can instant cherry pie fililng
1 box yellow cake mix
1 cup pecan chips
1 stick of butter
In a 9x13 pan, spread pineapple with juice. Spoon cherry pie filling on top and sprinkle DRY cake mix on top of the cherries. Spread pecan chips over the cake mix and dot with butter. DO NOT STIR!!!!! Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Serve and enjoy!
