Teach Them Diligently Convention

Teach Them Diligently is an awesome new homeschool convention that is based on Scripture found in Deuteronomy 6:7 which reads "And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house."  This 3 day convention will take place March 15-17, 2012 in Spartanburg, SC at the Spartanburg Expo Center.  The purpose of this convention is to celebrate the focus of Christian homeschool families -- which is to disciple their children to glorify God.  There are 2 things I love about the requirements for vendors & speakers who choose to participate in this conference.  They must believe the Bible is the inspired word of God, without any errors and our final authority.  They must also agree that all their teachings & any products they market will adhere to the Creationist point of view (6 days consecutive, 24 hour days of creation).  Also, all of the proceeds from this convention will go directly into missions.  

There is an incredible line-up of speakers including Ken Ham (Answers in Genesis), Dr. Voddie Baucham Jr.,  Doug Phillips (Vision Forum), Jeannie Fulbright, Joe & Zan Tyler, Hal & Melanie Young, Mark Hamby, Ellen Doman and many, many more!  Not to mention, there will be a large exhibition hall featuring tons of Christian vendors and homeschooling companies.  The list of workshops you can take is now available also and over the weekend we planned out what classes David and I would like to take.  Let me give you an idea of some of the different types of workshops:  "Moments Large & Small Which Define Christian Parenthood", "Improving Learning Skills in Children with Learning Challenges", "Bible Storytelling Workshop", "Nutrition 101-Choose Life", "Breathing Life Into Language Arts", film-making classes and much, much more!  In fact, there are so many workshops you can't even attend them all.

Have children??  No problem....this is a family-friendly convention.  There is a special Children's Program for kids ages 4-12 where Kidz Vision Ministries will present "STAND" and take your child on an exciting journey to the Celestial City with their friend Christian, in the story of the Pilgrim's Progress.  They will learn to stand strong in God's Word and stand up for the truth!  There is even a program for teenagers called "4:12" where they will learn the tools necessary to stand strong in their faith and be strong in their walk with the Lord through a series of special workshops designed especially for their age group in mind.  This is a family-oriented convention! 

Teach Them Diligently is extremely affordable as well.  Registration is just $40.00 per couple (husband & wife) and if your children want to do the Children's Program it is just $30.00 per child!  There is probably not any other homeschool convention that offers this many amazing speakers and awesome vendors for such a great price!  This is a convention you will not want to miss out on so make sure you get registered soon!
